Boil alu, peel and mash properly. LETS SEE THE STEP BY STEP PROCEDURE FOR STUFFED IDLI, Heat a kadai and temper with mustard seeds and spilt urad dal. Add finely chopped onions and tomatoes,fry till transparent. Add capsicum, fry for a minute in medium flame.
Instructions to make Stuffed Idli:
- Take a pan add 2 tsp oil.
- Now add sarson.
- Add salt, red chilli powder and turmeric powder.
- Now add boiled and mashed potatoes.
- Let it cool.
- Make small tikki shape of this mixture.
- Now in a bowl modi ji and curd.
- Make a batter with water.
- Keep it aside for 10 minutes.
- Now add eno this bowl.
- Add water in Idli mold.
- Let it boil.
- Grease idli molds.
- Pour some suji mixture, place potato mixture on it and cover with suji mixture.
- Put idli molds in Idli stand.
- Cover it.
- Cook for 8 to 10 minutes.
- After 19 minutes take mold out of idli stand.
- Let it cool.
- Now take idli out of mold with knife or spoon.
- Cut idlies into half.
- Now in a pan add oil.
- Add sarson.
- Add curry leaves.
- Pour this tadka on Idlis.
Add finely chopped onions and tomatoes,fry till transparent. Add capsicum, fry for a minute in medium flame.
