  1. Get 6 Tbsp mayonnaise
  2. Prepare 1 Tbsp lemon juice

  4. Make ready 2 sweet apples, cored and chopped
  5. Get Handful red seedless grapes, cut in half
  6. Take 1 celery thinly sliced
  7. Prepare 1 handful slightly toasted walnuts
  8. Prepare Shredded lettuce
  9. Prepare Cherry Tomatoes optional

Very good on its own, but I was trying to recreate a salad they have at a deli near my house "tropical waldorf salad" so I started with this as a base and added mandarin oranges, a little pineapple, cranberries and some coconut and it came out perfect. In a large bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, yogurt, and lemon juice.

Instructions to make Waldorf salad:
  1. Chop and slice all the ingredients accordingly, add the mayonnaise, lemon juice and season with salt and black pepper. Gently mix.
  2. Serve on a bed of lettuce with tomatoes for colour.(optional)
